We are called to reach out to our community, our nation and the entire world with the Good News of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Some are called to go physically to the uttermost ends of the earth. Others are called to support them in prayer and also financially.
Faith Chapel has helped support missions in the United States
and in various parts of the world and continues to increase
its support as the end times rapidly approach.
Brian & Cara Burke
Brian was raised in Annandale, NJ, where for over 15 years, he has been an active member of Faith Chapel Wesleyan Church. In the summer of 1995 Brian went on his first cross-cultural missions trip where he participated in the Russia Youth Camp in Vladimir. The Lord used this experience to open his eyes to the tremendous spiritual needs in this former Communist nation. Through his interaction with Russian teens at those early youth camps, Brian's heart was broken for the Russian people.
As a student at Wheaton College Graduate School, the Lord began to put a passion within Cara's heart for cross-cultural missions. As she sought His desire for her life in prayer, the Lord honed her call by placing a deep love in her heart for the people of Russia.
In the summers of 2000 and 2001, Brian and Cara led short-term mission teams to Vladimir to participate in the Russia Youth Camp.
The Burkes began their missionary service with Global Partners as intern missionaries to Russia in 2003. This lead to their appointment as career missionaries in 2005. Since becoming career missionaries, one of their main responsibilities is as field directors for The Wesleyan Church's ministry in Russia. Following the Holy Spirit's lead, they desire to raise up an army of Christian workers who will establish indigenous church planting movements that will sweep across Russia and beyond.
"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor" (Luke 4:18-19 NIV).

Why not take a few minutes to send words of encouragement, birthday greetings, holiday greetings, etc. Add them to your daily prayer list. They're a long way from home and doing God's work.
Matt and Caryl Aukerman met at Indiana University through their involvement with
Campus Crusade for Christ where their
eyes were opened to the Great
Commission. They graduated from IU -
Matt earning a degree in secondary
education with a mathmatics certification
and Caryl earning a degree in social work.
From 1997-1998 they served as GO-Net
volunteers in Russia where they led small
group Bible studies and helped in the
beginning stages of a church plant. During this time they felt God's presence in a
special way and sensed a call to
missionary service.
Matt and Caryl have been appointed as
career missionaries to Albania. They
desire to see God work in the lives of
Albanians through their own lives as they
share Christ with new friends, disciple
new believers to live for Him, and
contribute to the establishment of the
Wesleyan Church in Albania.
"As the rain and snow come
down...watering the earth and making it
bud and flourish...so is my word that goes
out from my mouth:...it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it" (Isaiah 55:10-11 NIV).
Stand Strength Team is the most recent addition to our missionary group.
They are a dedicated team of athletes who have a love for Christ and a
passion to see Moms and Dads come to the knowledge of Christ and to
raise their kids in God-fearing homes.
Some of these men work full-time in the ministry while others are "part-time"
and have other full-time professions. Their "draw" is the amazing feats of
strength and endurance that they use to illustrate the walls and barriers we
encounter in life. Faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified gives the believer
the ability to break these barriers that hinder and endurance to fulfill the
tasks that God asks us to do.
Their income is from corporate sponsors, profit from Stand apparel and free
will offerings. They have dedicated their lives to serving the Lord and trust in
Him to supply all their needs.
